Application Status, plus one other question

Hello everyone.

On Sunday, I applied to edit Sports/Paintball/Teams/United_States/ and my application was rejected within 24 hours. I understood why the application was rejected, and I immediately applied to a subcategory:

Sports/Paintball/Teams/United_States/Maryland/

But I have not heard anything after approximately five days. It's possible that the e-mail never got to me (There are two e-mail messages this week that I suspect I never got to me, but only one that I KNOW I missed, because I sent it.)

I'm concerned that my e-mail might have been lost on my server, because the first time, I was rejected in a much shorter period of time.

My second question:

Is it a bad idea to apply to become an editor of another category while I don't know the status of this application?

I am a six-year veteran of the Macintosh entertainment software industry, so it would be natural for me to want to edit either
Computers: Software: Operating Systems: Mac OS: Games or Games: Video Games: Computer Platforms: Macintosh. Both are lacking editors and one is sorely out of date. (I don't understand why they exist separately, myself - they would seem to indicate the same thing).

Anyway, Since I've got good relationships with pretty much everyone in the business, I think I'd make a good editor of those categories. I'd just hope that applying to edit them would not cause a terrible problem since I'm not sure of the status of my other application.

Your application is still pending, it has not been denied. Accepted or not, you should normally get a reply once it's processed. App processing time can vary hugely, don't worry about that.

It would therefore not be a good idea to apply again now
