On October 17th I submitted an editor application for the following category: Shopping/Recreation/Outdoors/Fishing/Electronics/. Could somebody please let me know the status of that application.

The application was submitted on September 17th, not October 17th.

There is an application for that category waiting review.
But it has an editor name which I can not connect to the name you use her on the forum.
From other info on the application I am sure it is yours.

It was declined on 2011-10-09. There's no need to apply again.
