Application status request. Now even more confused

Hello... thank you for taking a look at this. I wasn't sure if I should post or just wait, but had read that there were some previous issues with the application process.

I applied to edit this category: http://www.dmoz.org/Health/Professions/Midwifery/History/

... and have not yet heard back. I wasn't sure if perhaps my application had been lost in the process and wondered if I should maybe reapply.

Hi again... the other reason I thought it would be good for me to post here is because I hadn't received any kind of email (even a rejection email) at all... though I DID receive the original email after I applied... and I replied to that email as requested.

There were recently some big changes to the hardware at the ODP, and the edit side of the site was taken offline for a week for that to happen. When it came back on there were initially some problems with the application process which were fixed a week or so back.

I understood that several hundred editor applications were awaiting review quite recently, but being actioned quite quickly, so I guess that you will need to leave it at least a week or so for people to get on with that.

Help!!!

I went to reapply as you suggested, but was taken to a page that says:

Request Reinstatement of Editor Account

Now I'm not sure what to do!!! Thinking perhaps I had been accepted afterall, I tried entering the username and password I had originally created for my application, but it did not work.

I'm not sure if I should submit the page I was just sent to or try something else.

Did you check off (by mistake) the box that asked if you were ever an editor before?

Hello...

Well, now it says I can't apply more than once... and since the first editor said he didn't see my application and that I should reapply... and then when I did it thought I was trying to be reinstated... and now it says I can't apply again... I'm so lost.

Anyway, midwivery is my passion, I'm a nurse, and the category has little content, so I thought I could help and participate, but every where I turn, I seem to find a dead end.

THanks if anyone can help.

Andrea, I just responded to your PM with some instructions. Sorry for the delay getting back to you but I'm in the blackout zone and, though I have power now, Internet connections are sketchy at times.
