Application Status : richardpeel

Hi! I would be grateful if someone could check the progress of my application to the following category, which I applied to edit about seven weeks ago.

I replied to the automatic email which asks a prospective editor to confirm his or her application, and I also received the second automatic message confirming the above has been done, but have heard nothing so far.

Any feedback or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The situation described in this post remains. You'll probably notice here when it's are back and we can tell you - bookmark this thread and keep an eye on the forum..

Actually, Richard, I see your name listed as editor of that category so it would appear that your application was accepted (see http://dmoz.org/profiles/richardpeel.html)

Knowing nothing of the case, I'll venture to guess that the email telling you you were accepted slipped between the server upgrade cracks.

Richard, you have actually been an editor since June 4th, 2003 Obviously the welcome email went astray. If you need to find your password, visit http://editors.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/forgot.cgi. If you already know the password, then just use the Editor Login link in the top right corner of the home page - http://dmoz.org/

Thank you, Donald, for your reply. It appears that nea (to whom thanks also) and yourself are correct about the original email going astray, as the forgotten password link you posted did work. Thanks for your assistance.

Since it's been more than a month since you were accepted, you're probably going to have to apply for reinstatement in order to get that ID working.

I thought that new editors timed out in 28 days if they failed to log in or edit.

This application was approved about 55 days now. It might need to be kickstarted.
