Application status

I wonder; how much work, applies and posts were prevented if DMOZ would post a "status board" (Like the one I recall was used in my high school) divided by categories with the application name/URL and application status (approved/denied/in Q).

I’ve been applied two weeks ago, by now (after reading few posts) I know that it's not that long.

I'm giving a try any way:
My category is - Top: World: Hebrew: "somthing in hebrew"(it's look <img src="/images/icons/crazy.gif" alt="" /> on preview)

Not quite that simple. First of all, we value applicant's privacy. You might not bother about others knowing the status of your application (since you actually asked -- whereas you didn't provide any info about the editorname used, and your profile here shows no info at all...), but other applicants wouldn't like to see such a board with applicant name, url, and status. We should therefore set up a system where the applicant can access the information about his/her app using the authentication code sent back to him/her after applying, which is somewhat more complicated.
Also, we should set a term after which this information is deleted from the server. Aside from logs backups, keeping hundreds of thousands of applications on a file just to display their status is really close to building up another ODP only for this purpose.

It's a very short period of time, especially since you applied for a World/ category where not many of us metas are familiar with the language.

Using UBB code to provide a link to the category wouldn't have been that hard. Like link to the category you applied for, for example... <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> Also, providing the editorname you used for the application could help us, don't you think ?

Bottom line, the answer is always the same: patience is a virtue. Allow a few weeks passing, and then post again in this thread, with the info requested above.
