Apply and wait?

I applied about 7 days ago and when I went to check status with the record number provided by aut email (opendir- 577281445fb87959ed548e5d3f9d554d)
I received an error message that the file was not active (or something to that effect).

How do I know if I am in the apply and wait mode? The need to re-submit mode? or the banned mode? Thanks.

If you are talking about an editor application (You would have posted this in the wring forum, this is why I am asking): There is no automated system to check for the status of editor applications. If you supply us with your chosen editor name and the category we could have a look manually, though.

No, I am talking about site submit. I don't know the status of my submit and I don't want to mess up my chances of getting listed in the directory.

There is no e-mail sent for a site submittal. That's what caused windharp to think you were referring to an editor application.

There's no way of checking status on a site submittal either. "Submit and move on to the next good thing to do" is more the recommended procedure -- recommended because it's best for everyone.
