Hello,

Please excuse me if my English is not perfect since I'm from France.

I applied yesterday to become an editor for the following category:
World/Français/Arts/Musique/Genres/Musiques du monde/Reggae

I filled in the application form with care, I submited it and I received an email to which I had to reply (to show my email was valid). All went smoothly.

A few minutes ago, I got the following failure notice:

<apply(at)dmoz.org>:
Connected to 207.200.81.140 but sender was rejected.
Remote host said: 452 4.4.5 Insufficient disk space; try again later
I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.
Now I'm kind of puzzled as about what I should do. Should I go through the whole process again? (and in such a case, would I need to use another user name?) Is there other way to procede? Am I stuck? Heh, I hope not.

I can post the key I received in the email if it helps and if it's ok with security.

Thanks in advance!

Yikes. I have reported this in our internal forum where the tech staff will see it - if you hold on someone will get back in this thread and tell you what you need to do. It might perhaps help if you told us which editor name you used - that way a meta editor could see if your application came through in spite of everything. Thanks!

Thanks for the fast reply :)

I used "wap" as my editor name. Hope it helps.

I'll come back to this thread to see what I should do.

I ca'n't see an application for that username. Once staff have fixed this bug, please try responding to the confirmation email again.

It's a major problem right now. No applications have made it into our review queue in a number of days. Looks to be you're the first person to actually tell us why though (we didn't notice right away because there are many pending applications).

We have told the staff engineer about the problem. She won't be into work until tomorrow however. So just be patient. I'll post an announcement to let everyone else know.

Well... I hope it's not too bad an issue.

At least, it looks like my mailer daemon is well configured :)

I'll check the news. Thanks to the ODP staff for having kept in touch with me!

Here is what our engineer just said about this problem:
Please tell anyone with this problem to reply to the email again. We had a hardware problem over the weekend, but it's fixed now.

But don't worry, your app for World/Français/Arts/Musique/Genres/Musiques du_monde/Reggae has been received, so you don't need to do anything.

Votre candidature a été reçue, elle est dans le tuyau et attend tranquillement d'être examinée. Aucune action nouvelle de votre part n'est nécessaire pour le moment.

:)
