Hi,
I'm the Webmaster of FAQ Farm. It's a "question & answer co-op" where users ask and answer each other's questions. These Q&A's evolve into FAQs that become permanent Internet resources. The site has been up for a few years so we now have about 1,000 FAQs and more than 65,000 questions in the database. (Not all of the questions have been answered, since it's all-volunteer.)
I'd like to think that hundreds of the individual FAQs belong on DMOZ, at least the good ones that have grown to the point that they are really valuable resources on their topics and not just question and answer forums.
About a half dozen FAQs are in DMOZ. For example, volunteers or ODP editors have added sites such as http://www.faqfarm.com/Q/FAQ/1880 in http://dmoz.org/Health/Mental_Health/Psychological_Abuse/
Over the past year or two I've tried to submit a number of individual FAQs but most of them must be getting rejected.
For example, on 2/4/05 I submitted http://www.faqfarm.com/Q/FAQ/620 to http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Autos/Makes_and_Models/Chevrolet/Malibu/
I submitted a bunch of other car FAQs a few weeks ago.
I'd like advice. Since I want FAQ Farm to keep growing, I want FAQ Farm FAQs in DMOZ. But I don't want to keep submitting sites if I'm wasting editors' time.
Should I keep submitting individual FAQs? Is there a certain level that FAQ Farm FAQs should reach before I submit them (e.g. a certain number of good, well-answered questions)? Should I be careful not to submit them to sections that already have FAQs or question and answer forums? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Chris
