I had asked for the URL of my site to be updated. The old url was http://www.asia-hotels.com and the new one is http://www.asiahotels.com

It is listed under http://www.dmoz.org/Recreation/Travel/Lodging/Consolidators/Asia/

Can I please know what the status of this request is and also if any more information is required?

Not listable. And so high on our list of malicious vicious deceptive submittal-spammers that even if listable, it might never be listed because of the spamming.

<edit>It does occur to me to mention, since you might not have personally set up ALL those affiliate doorways -- that an aggressive affiliate program coupled with (1) no realistic way of adding value and (2) concealment of the real company providing the goods or services, will inevitably and invariably be considered as instigating a distributed denial of service attack (in which you are participating).

And yes, I'm using legal language here because it is illegal under consumer-protection laws in some civilized countries.

Actually it is good to make the acquaintance of someone who, it seems, is a major waste of my own time and that of many other editors. Truly - I'm guessing by posting here either you either have more bottle than a milk processing plant, or are genuinely unaware of the trouble you've caused to editors and other submitters via your affiliates clogging up many categories.

Given the damage caused already, making amends seems virtually impossible but it would be a good start if you would kindly stress very strongly upon all your affiliates not to submit their sites to DMOZ. Thanks.

I saw your comments regarding asia-hotels.com - pretty harsh words. I would like to understand what it is that caused you to have this view.

A bit of background maybe helpful. asia-hotels.com was recently bought by Cendant. (http://www.cendant.com/media/pr/pre...+Services/11742) We are now in the process of taking over the whole setup and in so doing trying to understand everything that is going on.

We have found that some actions by a seo "expert" hired might not have very clean and so are now cleaning it all up.

The main sites are asiahotels.com and euro-hotels.com. asia-hotels.com has been completely redirected to asiahotels.com.

If there are things which you still believe that are not correct please do inform me so that we can clean it all up. We have no reason at all to run into trouble with search engines or directories - they are just to valuable a source of customers to screw around with.

I look forward to a response from you so that we can clear things up.
