See NO STATUS CHECKS THIS WEEK. Also, the fact that your site has been visited by an editor is absolutely not a guarantee that it should be listed. Maybe it's already listed and you just can't see it for now, maybe they decided to let others decide whether to list it or not, maybe one decided the site should not be listed. We just can't know at this moment :smirk:

The site was rejected -- apparently when the editor visited the site, there was a message that the catalog was under construction.

It was previously noted that this site was an affiliate of another site (and that the product offerings were therefore not unique). If that's still the case, the site won't be listed per our guidelines.

Well, this site sales auto parts from a different vendors therefore it is affiliated with numbers of supplyers. So, if it is against the guidelines, then thousands of sites have not to be listed in ODP, because they sale the same parts and they have no uniqueness. If editor found catallog beeing temporary anavalable, means that5 at that moment was the process of catalog update which has to be done sometimes because this catalog has over 4 millions parts which needed to be updated. All needed to be done is refresh.
So, question is: Should I resubmit URL or I shouldn't bother trying?

The latter please, at least until the site changes completely. Suggesting it again in its present form would be a waste of your time and ours.

What needed to be change?
Design?
Affiliation?
Should I resubmit or wait for another evaliation by editor?

Nothing needs to be changed, if the site serves your purposes.

It just doesn't provide anything unique for our users. There's no common interest.

Domestic models were added just very recently and not filled with parts yet. Build of inventory is a long process.
Europarts.com is a e-catalog that anybody can use to organize they inventory. There are about 1000 sites who uses europarts.com catalog, and other 1000 sites who uses wrench-head.com catalog, but any body of them have they own price structure, they own insentives, they own fufilment process.
About Partspalace.com, Autopartsplace.com... and any other that listed in ODP uses the same catalog but I believe have they own uniqueness, same as Autodoctorparts.com. And either all of them sould be listed or non.

I don't know what uniqueness the BUSINESS has. But I also looked at that WEBSITE, looking for something unique. And I didn't find it. End of discussion.

True, using a standard catalog isn't unique. But there might be something else unique on those other sites.

Do you have anything to suggest, that needed to be done with the site to make it unique (design, userfriendness e.t.c.)?

Unique content. Ease of navigation to the unique content. Prominent focus and emphasis given to unique content.
Did I mention that the content needed to be unique?

If the goods are not unique, then the service needs to be. What actual services do you offer, where do you offer them, who actually does the serving, and so on.

Sorry, but I have filling that some of the editors have affiliation with some of our competitors. I want to list just a websites listed in category I was submiting to (http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Vehicles/Parts_and_Accessories/Varied_Merchandise/A/) that have the same level of uniqueness, have the same affiliations and using the same catalog:
http://www.alloemautoparts.com/
http://all-foreign.com/
http://www.autocarparts.com/
http://www.autopartsgiant.com/
http://www.auto-parts-direct.com/
http://www.autopartsplace.com/
http://www.autopartsworld.com/
And this only "A", so I do not see editors following guidelines when they were including those sites.
And if you want to tell me that those sites were included before I submit ours, I can asure you that some of those sites were even created after ours. And submited after ours.
Again I fill corruption in editors community.

I don't see questions there, only accusations. We may or may not act on them, but we won't comment on them publicly.

Picking through previous posts for the real question, will your site be listed as it presently exists, the real answer is "No".
