I had my domain name (azatiko.com) removed from category:

Regional: North America: Canada: Business and Economy: Internet

How come?

Your site was never listed in that category, as far as I can tell. It's currently listed here.

Good Call apeuro. It's just that my Google toolbar has the category icon greyed out; so I thought I was removed, but it seems to be a problem with google toolbar.

Since when is this Google toolbar thingie = a dmoz.org listing? If you want to know about a dmoz.org listing, visit the appropriate category at dmoz.org and LOOK at it. If you don't see it listed there, then it isn't there.

Re: domain name removed from listing

The Google Toolbar may well be a useful tool, but it is of no relevance to ODP listings. As fashezee has found out, it has its limitations and it should not be used to determine whether a site is listed in the ODP. kctipton's remarks were not intended to belittle the Google Toolbar, but rather to point out that Google and the ODP are two seperate entities.

You've only made three posts on these fora, and in each one you have been 'outraged'. Was there really any need to sign up just to tell us how much you dislike us?

less than peaceful, and more than pointless observation removed.

Doesn't seem belittling to me, just seems to be an explanation between the line from dmoz and google...and I personally love my Google toolbar, I use it all the time. IMHO it is a waste of time being outraged over something so little. Typing is different than speaking, it is easy to misunderstand the tone of what is being said. Life is too short to waste sweating the small stuff. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />
