Badly worded and punctuated site info

Hi,
My site is listed in DMOZ and the info that was entered by the editor shows up in Google searches. The information is inaccurate and badly punctuated and reflects badly on my site. When I try to 'update URL' in the category it is apparently listed under I get the 'this site is not listed under this category' message.
What can I do?

That message means exactly what it states.
It might be that the website was listed in that category before and that the change was not reflected in the search yet (I supose you found the listing through our search).
Normaly the search is one or two weeks behind with updates in comparison to the live directory. Due to some problems it is not updated since begin March.

You can always make use of the NOODP tag to force Google to use your own meta tags instead.

I haven't heard of the NOODP tag, but it sounds like the ideal fix. What is it and where do I put it?

So basically...tough titty for you!!! Although they made the mistake, too bad sucker, fix it yourself, somehow, if you can, who cares...

Would it really take that long to fix your mistake...for the love of god!!!She obviously doesn't know about NOODP or how to use it, and why should she have to in the first place, if somebody wasn't asleep at the switch and did their job properly in the first place.

You're assuming that a mistake actually has been made. I've seen many people complain that their description was wrong or badly written when in fact the descriptions fully meet our guidelines and are grammatically correct, they just weren't what the site owners wanted. I'm not saying that's the case here, but neither of us knows which is the case unless and until an editor reviews it based on an update request.

As to why we don't just ask the poster for their site information in order to check things, we have a standing forum policy that we do not edit or review sites based on requests or demands in this forum. If you think about it, you'll understand why.

I need not think about it...again...how hard would that have been to say to her? Not only for her information, but if you think about it, she is not the only one who will read your "answers" to her.
