If you want your site listed in the Regional branch of the directory, you would be better off submitting your site to the shopping category in Crownsville, MD (where ever that is).

Why in the world did you submit there? You are not located in Annapolis, you are in Crownsville.
The correct cat should have been http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Maryland/Localities/C/Crownsville/ which is exactly where you were told to submit in post #3. As for your ialleged inability to locate it, it is under the letter "C".
One of our volunteer editors will eventually tumble upon your missubmission and will send it to the right place.
