Becoming an Editor

I am interested in becoming an editor in the particular area of http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Commodities,_Futures/

I have found a few sub categories such as
1) http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Commodities,_Futures/Advisory_Services/
2) http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Commodities,_Futures/Brokerages/
3) http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Commodities,_Futures/Associations/
and a few more that are asking for a volunteer or require an editor.

I was wondering if I could apply for all the sub-categories, and if so how to apply to all at once. Do I do it individually?

I have not found the answer in the guidelines. Thank you so much for your help.

You can only apply for one category at a time. Once you've demonstrated your ability to edit and have gotten some experience under your belt, then you can apply for additional permissions. Associations is a good, small category to start out in if you have 2-3 urls that aren't already listed to use for your application (Brokerages is too large and Advisory Services is a little on the highish side).

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Your guidance will help in selecting the right category. The reason That I wanted to apply to a few is because some of them contain dead links, full affiliate links and links that have nothing to do with the subject.
By the way, noticed that you are from Canada. Here is a story; 1989 came to Visit in Canada as a tourist, ended up living there for 13 years.

Well, you'll just have to make sure your application is super and then you can work towards getting the ability to fix those all up.

Seriously, though, the FAQ and General Advice thread stickied at the top of this forum contains some excellent advice about applying. Give it a read before you apply.
