I have tried several times to get my site listed in the DMOZ directory without any luck todate. I have read through the rules and believe that my site meets all expectations so firstly could someone explain why a site would not be accepted if it meets all criteria and secondly why it is so hard on the dmoz site to find any contact details in order to get "help" as i am sure there are plenty of people who need it.

You will find a lot of useful information on this and other popular questions in the FAQ of these forums. The most likely reason that a listable site has not been included is simply that none of the volunteer editors have looked at it to review it.

secondly why it is so hard on the dmoz site to find any contact details in order to get "help" as i am sure there are plenty of people who need it.
http://www.dmoz.org/help is at the top of every category page AFAIK, it provides most of the information needed. These forums act as additional help if needed as well.

On an additional note:
I have tried several times to get my site listed in the DMOZ directory without any luck todate. I have read through the rules and believe that my site meets all expectations
Multiple resuggestions of the same or related URL's is failing to follow the guidelines for suggesting a site. If you are resuggesting the same or related sites, then you are working against yourself. It's best not to do that anymore. ;)

Hope this helps.
