It has been easily more than 5 years when i submitted my website [URL removed] for entry into DMOZ. I would like to pick up the thread again and see if i can get it accepted, any suggestions on best way yo proceed, anyway i can get some feedback from folks involved in decision etc.

Thanks in advance.

If it has been over five years, there is no harm in suggesting the site again, once more and in the best choice category. Be aware that this will put the suggestion behind all those that come before it, some Could result in less chance of being seen in the list.
Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.
If you can spare a little time and would like a new hobby, by all means apply to be editor of a category.
Editors can list their site(s) as long as there is no favoritism per our guidelines.

What is a problem? Dmoz Terms of Service? Anyone is free to suggest a site but no site is guaranteed to be included.

The very informative part of the question is how long before one should resubmit their site if need be. Mollybdenum mentions review may take days to a few years. Would 3 or 4 years therefore be sufficient time to resubmit?

Reasons to resubmit are few;
If the site you are suggesting is down for many weeks, changed its content entirely (to a different subject, language), or is moved to another URL with no redirect placed, those are possible reasons to suggest it again.
A better category? The editor will move the suggestion, it's what we do.
For the editors who sort by date of suggestion (which many of us do), re-suggesting the site simply moves it to the bottom, potentially resulting in an even longer delay - ∞²:tnt:
It's really not in your interest to resubmit the site.
:)

See the related thread: How to get your site listed 4 times faster...

In last five years we also submit our website many times, but till now we don't know why there are no one can accept.

From our view,we think our website it is not the same as others,we do China car auto parts wholesales,in Domoz there are no others company do like us.

As for everybody else.

Do NOT suggest a website more than once.

Time between suggestion and review can vary between a few days and several years.
