There is no such thing as blacklisting. So your url can't have been blacklisted :)

There might have been earlier submissions than June/28/2004, but each one overwrites any earlier one. Repeated submissions are thus counterproductive. Our ATTENTION - Forum Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING thread at the top of this forum asked that you wait at least a month after your most recent submission before asking here.

Nevertheless, you can deduce that your suggestion has been received and is awaiting review. We can't predict when that might be. If it hasn't been listed by then, by all means ask again in 6 months in this same thread.

The basis of your question intrigues me.

Have you done something terribly wrong?

The person we were using to submit our site (manually) to various directories and search engines didn't follow instructions and decided to resubmit our site on a weekly basis (sometimes bi-weekly) basis. He's since been re-assigned.

I just wanted to ensure we didn't frustrate an editor so much that we were permanently booted before even getting listed. If that was the case, I was going to put on my best groveling impression and beg for forgiveness.

Thanks for the feedback.

The grovelling isn't necessary; confession makes dealing with the problem earlier, and an apropos apology is always courteous. But, to get back to the original question: the way to start out is to wait a month after the blighter was booted, then ask about the status of the site in our "status request" forums.

That would be July 27, but I can't very well tell you that without revealing that yes, we still have a submittal dated June 27 waiting for review. So ... if you don't see it listed by (SEVEN months from the last submittal, which would be JANUARY 27, feel free to bump this thread and ask about the status again.

Apology noted, and for the record there's no indication any editor took offense at the multiple submittals.
