There was another thread (by a writer I think) who had made different sites for each of her/his endeavors. You informed the artist that you could only list his/her main site.

Do you consider Blogs, Webrings or Yahoo Groups that are created by someone who's main site is already listed in the ODP to be "related" and not listable?

If you already have a site listed in the ODP, is it appropriate to submit a Blog (Ring/Group) created by you, too? If it has enough original content, is that allowed?

Thank you,
Carol

Difficult to answer. If it is about the same subject as the main site it probably won't be listed. If it is about a completely different subject it might be listed.

A "website" about a particular topic by a particular entity may have a range of content-types, and may be spread across a range of internet domains. We'll try to find the best URL for the whole website. If it's linked together well and honestly, it won't matter a whole lot which URL we pick.

If it's not linked together well and honestly, it is of less value (to the surfer) than if it were, and therefore deserves less representation in the ODP -- fewer listings.

"Fewer than one listings," eh?

Links all of your content on the topic together, that gives the site its best shot at its one ODP listing.

Yes ... that makes it very clear.

Thank you both very much for your answers. I appreciate your time and expertise.
