Bulls eye website For the category yet not accepted - please help

Namaskar admins,

My website is 100% accurately related to this category - www.dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Hinduism/Chats_and_Forums/
which is "The Hindu Forum" yet it has not been approved since long, whereas majority of websites are not even related to this category.
Please look into the matter. if I m wrong do let me know.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.
Please do not open any more threads regarding the website in question.

My Concern Is that I Have Submitted It Thrice But With Free Email Id i.e Gmail id.do I Need to Submit It with Email With Domain Extension?

No, we only look at the website when the suggestion is evaluated. The email used to suggest the website does not influence the review proces.

we do not answer questions related to the suggestion of a specific website
answering such questions from all people wanting to know their status does take tomuch time and does not provide any usefull information for the person asking the question

Mate what i am saying is that editor needs to wipe of few sites from the group because majority of them are groups of yahoo..
if dmoz is about quality then it certainly should be so..here is SS of what i said.

It is fine to list yahoo groups as long as they have content related to the category.
Yahoo and other discussion groups have the same functionality as forums.

the category description clearly reads: "Chats, forums, groups and clubs relating to Hindu religion."

If there are any listings that are not about (an aspect of) Hinduism you can click in the icon that can be seen at the end of each listing when you mousover on the category of DMOZ.

Its not about what fits in , its about what is best and being Top directory it should have some of the world best sites and groups which i don't think is happening there..I have suggested two forums (one mine and one other ) which is bulls eye for this section..If i become editor (applied for) i can find many such websites when it comes to Hinduism(any section but preferably i want this section)

Sites can be added without removing other suitable sites that are already listed, whether Yahoo groups or not. There is no number limit on sites that can reside in a category. We list "unique" sites, and "best" is only a part of the selection process.

I know many better sites related to hinduism then which are listed their ..can facebook groups be added as well ? if yes i know one of the best in the segments( thou not controlled by me but very best)

We list according to content, so yes, facebook pages and groups can be added to the directory if they have sufficient unique (useful) content relevant to the subject (though it's rare).

i was rejected for editors request as well.

how can i know the status of my website approval ?

Unless you were told to not apply again to be an editor, read through the email that was sent to you and apply the suggestions to a new application. Many editors have to try a few times before being approved, so do not be discouraged.
As far as status of a site suggestion, we do not do that. If it has been suggested, it is in the queue and will be processed at some time by some editor.

It has been more than 1 year here in dmoz forum, even now i don't know whether i need to re-list my forum or not..i am saying that for the category i want to get listed is bulls eye for my forum..noone can be better than my forum in that category (you can just check in my details)...
just guide me if i need to re-submit it or not.

I would not but at-least i should know if its in queue or not (even if its on 1,00,000 number)...
Its has been ages since i have been following ...but despite of being bulls eye category decent traffic, decent age its still not showing anything.

There is not a queue, it is a pool, and your site is in it. It will be evaluated when a volunteer editor chooses to do so, when that will be nobody can predict.

I agree but how do i know if its in pool or not dats my problem ..coz i know when someone sees it they are bound to accept it.
