Can I submit this site to Shopping/Canada category?

Dear Editors,

Our site, www.moncton.net is already part of DMOZ in the category

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/New_Brunswick/Localities/Moncton/

it is indeed, Moncton's city portal and this is the best category for this site.

Recently, we have created a vast shopping section on this site that can be found on http://www.moncton.net/shopping

Is it possible to add this url (http://www.moncton.net/shopping) to http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Ethnic_and_Regional/North_American/Canadian/

while keeping http://www.moncton.net in its original category?

If so, should we submit our shopping url ourselves or could you do it? If you can here is the description:

Offering a selection of gifts, home decor, furniture, baskets, postcards from Moncton, Canada.

then it would seem that it is not a shopping site.


We list websites, not individual pages. Ask yourself: what is this website all about? There should be one answer, and that should help define where, if anywhere, it should be listed.

While a site can be listed by topiclly and regionally, I have a very hard time imagining how any city portal could be eligible for a topical listing and retain its regional listing as a city portl.

You should not submit http://www.moncton.net/shopping/ to that category - it does not belong there.

I would also suggest avoiding further submissions, since you have already submitted http://www.moncton.net/ to a number of categories - which violates our terms of use.

I apologize for these submissions! I will try not to do that in the future! Thanks for your advice!

You might want to take a look at your site through differnt browsers. Using Mozilla 1.7.5 many of the inside pages render very poorly -- poorly enough that the site description probably deserves a cautionary statement.
