Hello folks (",)

Been browsing through the forums looking for answers before I thought about posting this question, I know moderators and editors are busy, so please accept my apologises if this question has been asked before!

The question I want to ask is, from browsing through the different categories trying to get the right one for my site and yet there is no category for where my site could possibly fall into, can you suggest an entirely new category?

You can suggest it, but it would probably not do you any good since we don't created categories ont ehbasis of a request.

However, if you wanted to take it one step further and suggest a new category and give us the URLs of 4 or 5 sites that would be perfect fits, then suddently your request has a lot more gravitas.

Many thanks Spectregunner (",)

Would I have to email dmoz with the relevant info of sites etc and what new category I think these sites would fall into?

E-mail does no one any good insofar as DMOZ is controlled, since we are, what one might refer to as an "orderly anarchy" in terms of workflow.

Ther are probably a number of different ways that this could be handled, but, since this thread is here and hasn't spun out of control, go ahead and post it here and the right editors will see it.

In terms of expectations, please also remember that no change will occur as a resut of posting here, what can and will occur is that it will trigger an internal discussion and that is where the decision, or a differnt decision, or the decision to make no decision at all, will occur.

Confusing? You betcha!

Does it work? Often enough that we have yet to find a better way!

Lol well if it ain't broke then don't fix it lol!!

It's adult themed therefore I can't post it here, I can't seem to find where you can verify your age to get into the adult section, where it would be appropriate to post the details etc.
