Canadian sites

Hi,
I submitted a few sites as they were developed and recently re-submitted them (due to time lapsing and change of required descriptions / categories etc).
Can anyone advise on expected time to review or if they have been rejected?

www.canadaphotos.info

Thank you.

Thanks for the update.
Any idea why Canada Photos was rejected?

RE: mirror sites policy - that is fair enough however the 2 sites in question aren't mirrors. They are of very similar content from certain parts of the Trail Canada web site but by no means a copy.

For example, Trail Canada covers all kinds of areas such as a travel guide, photos and so on. Where as the other 2 sites are very specific.

Listing the sites seperately is beneficial for exactly the reason they were constructed - quick access to precise information.

I totally understand your point but I know these sites are not mirrors as defined by the DMOZ policy.

If each of the specialized sites contains a subset of information from the Trail Canada site as has been suggested here by both editors and you, then they would be considered mirrors because they are mirroring part of the content of a listed site. Now, I'd look at the sites myself but twice I've tried and twice they've hung my computer....I'm not a happy camper about that.

These aren't technically mirrors, and they aren't technically deeplinks. But that's not the point. The information has already been added to our directory. We have listed http://www.trailcanada.com/ which includes the information in the other 2 sites. Remember that our guidelines are for our editors to follow when deciding what needs to be added to the directory not rules for webmasters to twist to get all of their domains listed :)
