can't find procedure for my circumstance

I have had a site rejected due to 'lack of content'. I won't go into the details, because I'm not seeking council on the problem itself, more looking for a procedure to follow so I don't waste my or others' time.

If I fully believe that the site I submitted has every bit of content that it needs to be a relevant and useful website, what recourse do I have?

Thankyou

To be short: none.
The only thing you can do is add more / unique content to the site and suggest the site after you have done so.
I have looked at your site. And no this isn't enough content at all.

There's a simple sanity check: Don't resubmit until you realize just how and why your first submittal had inadequate content -- and until you've addressed that problem.

Thank you, both.

pvgool, I'm not sure you know what site I was referring to, then again maybe you do. What I will do is look at other sites in the same category and see how much content they have. I have to say, I kind of hate to spend time adding 'content' when the site already has all of the information that it needs to fulfill it's purpose. I can imagine that editors see hundreds of sites per day and a very light site probably seems like a joke. It would be too much to expect that for every site, the editor can surmise what the purpose of the site is, the intended audience, and use that as a basis for whether the site has enough 'content' or not to be useful within the particular category.

Interesting that the site is #1 in Google and #2 in Yahoo on a 2 keyword search - the first word being the name of my town plus the second word being the subject of the site.

I do appreciate your time and feedback - thanks again.

Regards,
Mike Schell

If the site does what you want it to do, fine -- don't change it for the ODP.

If people can find you that way, there is no advantage to you trying to get listed in ODP. I would expect those two words are the most likely that anyone would use to find the site.

If the site provides the information your visitor needs, there is no point changing the site to meet the requirements of ODP. We don't claim to know every businesses' needs. The one thing that you do have right is the city/province/country at the top. Surprising how many sites like yours get submitted without even identifying the country where the practisioner is located.
