Hi editors,

I've been trying to update my adres url site and description. The one in DMOZ is out of date. My company changed the url. I did an update a month ago and nothing happend.

I'm a little bit confused.

Did the old url prove that the site has moved to a new url?
If the site is still active on the old url and if there is no evidence on the old website than DMOZ will not change the listing. It might be someone trying to hijack the listing of a website.
A smart company/person lets their visitors know that the website is moved to a new url.

It might also be that you provided a description full of marketing hype and that the editor did not notice that the real update should be the url. Such hyped update requests might be rejected by mistake.

And it also might be that the request is not processed yet. We try to process them as fast as possible but sometime it just takes a little longer.

We can't answer your specific query but here's some general advice.

To guard against ODP listing hijacks, we avoid amending a listed URL when the original is still functional. It's best to arrange for the original to redirect to the new before requesting the change. This can either be automatic or a prominent notice on the original home page.

Avoid the temptation to write a keyword stuffed or promotional title and description. These are declined on sight and there's a danger that the editor might not notice that there's also a URL change.

<OK, so I'm a slow typist/thinker :)>

- the old site is redirected
- the description was written in a very precise way with no marketing gibberish.

Maybe I've overlooked something.
The best way is to show you the example, but I know I can't do this public on this forum.

Can I do something more besides posting on this forum?

You've convinced yourself that your update request is acceptable so all you can do now is wait patiently for some volunteer editor to accept it. We can't predict who or when that might be but most editors give priority to update requests.
