category not updated for 7 months ( http://www.jmmehtatravel.com/ )

I submitted my website www.jmmehtatravel.com to the ODP project under the category Regional-Asia-India-Travel & Tourism- Travel Agents more than 2 months ago.
I also submitted it under the category Recreation-Travel-Tour operators- Asia-India
It has nort yet been listed. Can I please know its status

Please supply a clickable category, but also read all the other points,
since if you forgot one of the items in the list, it is entirely possible
you overlooked some of the others.

Also note if you submitted in the last 30 days, you should not reply to this thread until one month has passed.

category not updated for 7 months

I have noticed that some of the categories inthe ODP directory have not been upadted for 7 months. An eg. is the category http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Goa/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Services/Tour_Operators/ which was last updated on 14 Dec 2003. Does it mean that it is futile to submit sites to such categories? I submitted mine on 8th May & there is no listing yet. What should I do?

As I said before, please don't start new threads about the same site.

After looking at your myriad of posts here:

That's at least three categories you have submitted to, the submission rules say to submit to the one best category, please stop submitting now.

In at least one of those categories you have submiited more than once. That means an editor had to spend time removing the duplicate copies. Submitting multiple times to multiple categories, apart from being annoying, increases the chances that all copies of your URL may be accidently deleted.

At some point someone will review your site, and if accepted, it will be moved to the correct category.

The answer to the general question is: past performance is no guarantee of future results.

The answer to what you should do toward the ODP is, as nearly always it is, in the submittal policies.

The answer to what you need to do about promoting your site is a completely other question, that neither the ODP nor this forum can help with. We just list sites for the sake of our users, based on what our editors see as their most important needs. If you need immediate visibility for the sake of a business, there are millions of sites that offer that. But the ODP is not one of them.
