With more than 600,000 categories and about 7,500 active editors, it is certainly possible that a given category might appear to be neglected.
meta Editor Hutcheson once accurately compared the efforts to maintain the directory to the efforts of honeybees. It is nearly impossible to gues where a given honeybee (editor) will next alight, as each member of the DMOZ hive uses different criteria in determining where they choose to edit next.
Sometimes the decision making is limited by rights -- an editor may wish to edit a given category, but may not have the rights to do so. In other cases, the editor may simply choose not to edit there.
This is not the correct place to make such a request for a couple of very important reasons:
1. this is a place where we try to share generic information and it has never been designed to respond to specific requests.
2. only a handful of DMZ editors actively partipate here -- so the odds of having an eligible editor view the request is exceedingly small.
Finally, that category has seen editor activity within the past week, so it is hardly neglected.
