Change / Added to Directory

Hello,

We have recently been listed under the category

Regional: North America: Canada: Manitoba: Localities: W: Winnipeg: Health: Pharmacy

We would like to be changed/added (which ever is feasible) to the following category so that we are listed with our direct competitors:

Shopping: Health: Pharmacy: Online Pharmacies

We are a SquareTrade certified orgainization which means that we are licensed and have been approved by an independant third party to be allowed to advertise our products online. This was required by the Overture network so that we could list with them. To be SquareTrade certified we must have licensed pharmacists, a brick and mortar pharmacy, and adhear to the regulations of the jurisdictions in which we offer our products. In addition we are CipaRx certifed in Canada. I am stating this because I understand that there is some tumoil with listing this industry on DMOZ right now and I would simply like to show that, unlike some of our competitiors, we have taken the steps required to be noted as a certified organization.

A listing in the Regional branch of the directory does not preclude one elsewhere.

If your site meets the requirements of the Shopping part of the directory, then please submit there.

You should go and submit your site to that category, and the listing in the Regional one can be left as is. We generally will not add sites as a resultt of posting in this forum except in unusual cases.

I have not reviewed your site and make no judgement as to whether it fits in that category. However, in many cases, sites with an actual physical location may have a listing in Regional and a listing in another area.

Pleading in this forum won't change anything.

If you want a listing in Shopping, submit your site there. If you hate the Regional listing, take your site offline.

Submit the site to Shopping but do not hold your breath. Your competitors have clogged that category with so much affiliate spam it is almost impossible to even load the unreviewed. Then, most of the time editing is spent deleting the crap. There is so much crap in there that I for one am shellshocked and hesitate to even list a site in that category. Over the last year I have probably edited Online Pharmacies more than anyone else and I can tell you this and its sad - I have rejected hundreds of site and not listed one

To sum this up - be happy with your regional listing and be prepared for a wait in Shopping - a possible long wait. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I thought you should know.
