I submitted my website - http://www.uk-trackdays.com - to the ODP about 5/6 months ago and to date it has not been listed. I have found another category which is more specific to my website. Should I resubmit to this other category or not?

If you have only submitted to the ODP once, to one category only, then the submittal policy allows a second submittal (after a few weeks.) If you wish to take your second submittal to a category that is more likely to be the site's actual placement, go ahead.

Aside: The following is not exactly what you asked, but it is what many people who read the forums will, I fear, think is the question I answered.

They go looking for a category that has an editor, in the delusion that only listed editors can edit in categories (the actual fact is, the vast majority of edits are done by unlisted editors.) That is counterproductive and will increase a legitimate site's chances of being accidentally deleted -- that is, that will make the site's listing slower, and it may well keep the site from being listed. Don't do it!

Thanks Hutcheson for the information, I will go ahead and re-submit to another category. And I think your right; people do tend to submit to category's which have editors listed and to be honest I did!, but now I know that just because there isn't an editor listed at the bottom of the category webpage, it doesn't mean that the category is not edited.
Thanks again.
