Hi guys

I have a listing in DMOZ but we changed our domain name some months ago and rebuilt our site.

How do I go about changing the listing? I've looked at the Update Listing page however I'm not sure if this will allow me to change my domain name or just the tite and description.

The listed domain is clickquote.com but we have now changed this to www.choicequote.co.uk

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Regards

Update listing is the thing to use for the purpose. Since the old URL redirects to the new one, it should be a breeze (though it's never possible to say how long it will be before an editor looks at the update request. It's a priority for many editors, so it's often weeks rather than years, but there is no way to tell beforehand.)

Hi Guys

I used the update listing page and the url was changed however the title and description were not. I also found another clickquote listing when I searched for individual products (scooter insurance, van insurance, motorcycle insurance and so on) in the category:

Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: Business and Economy: Financial Services: Insurance: Motor

It seems that there is another level that I need to edit but I can't seem to find the right way to do it.

Your help is really appreciated.

The editor processing your update request obviously determined that your current title and description were more appropriate than what you were suggesting.

Ok, that's fine.

How can I make sure all instances of clickquote.com are replaced with choicequote.co.uk?

Sorry to be a pain guys.

It already redirects so you've done the parts of the job that you can control.

Sadly, some of our downstream data users don't update as often as they could and we have no control over that. You could try contacting them individually, but I wouldn't hold your breath on rapid change.

No easy answers I'm afraid.

What you're experiencing is a result of how ODP search feature works. It can take awhile before the search results are updated also.
