I have put in for a change 2-3 months ago and today (March 31st), the old servers were retired. My site has been listed in DMOZ for 6 years and I want to continue with the new address but I fear the now dead link will be deleted instead of changed? Is that right? Any Help or advice? Thanks

Did you change domain name or just the underlying server? If the latter then you need do nothing, if the former then redirect the old url to the new one and put in an update request.

Thank you for the reply, I went to the "Update Listing" link and typed in "the URL exactly as it is listed in this category" than entered the explanation as to the needed change needed in the window. I also gave my email address for the editor to contact me if need be. I have done it two or three times over the past 2-3 months trying to get ready for the move and thinking I may have entered it wrong but now I am afraid to try again for fear the editor will think I am being pushy. Is it possible no one is minding the store for my catagory? My old sites link is dead in the DMOZ category since March 31st now. The old site is shut down completely since the 31st now. What should I do? Can some one please help?

Maybe the problem has been in the "to get ready for the move". We would only change an url after the move not before. How else could we check if the claim is right.
Please make one more update request. These stand out from the other suggestions and will normaly be handled very quick (atleast quick in comparison to other suggestions).

And, it should go without saying, don't use the update request to try and keyword stuff the title and description, as it possibly can lead to the entire request getting tossed.
