Hi everyone,

I have read that very interesting thread about the submission of several sites owned by the same company (SpecialChem): http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=39783

My problem is somehow similar to that, apart from the fact that one of my websites is already listed here: http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=specialchem

We have developed other websites since then, as well as a portal for all of them (http://www.specialchem.com).

Most of these websites deal with specialty chemicals.

According to what I've read, I guess the website currently listed should be removed and replaced with the portal, and I could also submit this portal to all the categories each of our websites deal with:
- /Business/Chemicals/Polymers/Plastics/News_and_Media/

- /Science/Technology/Materials/Adhesives/

- /Business/Chemicals/Coatings_and_Adhesives/Paint/News_and_Media/

- /Business/Chemicals/

I am however quite unhappy with that (mmmh, unhappy, that sounds like a feeling... ;) ):

- First, I believe it is better for the visitor to directly land on the specific website instead of the general portal.

- Second, the categories are too restrictive. My websites are more than just news or databases, should I submit my site in lower levels?

thanks for your replies.

Hi Jim and thanks for your reply.

I was too impatient and filled the form to update my listing before you replied. I guess the editor in charge of that category will do what is best. I explained the situation in the comment field.

cheers.
