Clarification please?

Can one of you please advise why my site was removed from dmoz? There are no affiliates or anything. The site is http://www.wrestlecrazy.com

The category was http://dmoz.org/Sports/Wrestling/Professional/Chats_and_Forums/

Well, it didn't work when an editor visited it.

It now awaits re-review in the category you mention.

There is no need to suggest it again.

thanks, just seems a bit wierd that the site has only had a few minutes downtime since the site was born nearly a year ago. Maybe the ed's should check more than once? just a suggestion. For all the work i've done on it to be wasted, just because I had a bit of downtime seems a little bit unfair.

The site is not down now but to an untrained eye someone might think it is with this error filling up the main page

If you scroll down you can see a forum but if you just look at the main page it gives the appearance of being broken.

For what it's worth, I saw the same errors as bobrat when I first visited the site, but then it seemed to work fine after that.

Probably because we are not robots - we are humans. It could also be that person's site was the only one waiting. It could be that editor was feeling kind. It could be whatever. Different editors do things differently. Humans.

Adamski, EVERY site gets special treatment: free review and classification. They just don't all get it simultaneously.

You've been told multiple times how and when your website doesn't work. That's "special treatment" that 99.9% of the sites don't get. We can't help it if you don't believe it.

You don't have to thank us, but you can save your whining for some other venue.

Well, it hardly seems to matter now that google have allbut dropped the directory. DMOZ wont last much longer, IMO

We have had people making prophecies like that quite regularly since the directory started. Usually it has been a comment predicated on them having their site not listed for some reason.

However, one day I'm sure one of them will be right and then they will say "See? I told you so!" And they will be the One True Prophet of the End of the ODP, and all the rest can be mocked as false prophets.

So I'm glad that you feel it doesn't matter - because now we can all move on with our respective interests.
