Complete novice needs help

i have recently created a site www.apiso.com, it should be quite to get my site listed in the top but am getting rather confused with all the advertising for pages that submit for you...

Any hints and tips where to get started ?

My personal advice: forget about all those companies that offer to submit your sites to all kinds of search engines. Submit the site by hand to the search engines and directories yourself.

I also agree, doing it by hand is a little time consuming, but it is also FREE, and done by you, yourself, so you know it got done and done correctly. Just do a little reading on how to submit to search engines, what good meta keywords are, what good meta description is, what a good web site title is, etc.

Agree, all the submissions those advertising sites do are free and you can do them yourself rather easily. Just read up a bit on search engine optimization and related,.
