Confusion

I'm a newbie, and I'm not sure what my status is...
The other forum I have posted on was not very helpful.
What is my next step?

We don't provide status checks on sites that have been suggested for review, and as you can see in the description of the forum we don't allow discussions about specific sites. If you have suggested the site to the most relevant category, there is no next step; at some point an editor will review the site but there is no way of foretelling when that will happen.

That forum is not an official resource of the Open Directory Project. I don't know what they told you, but regarding status requests in this forum please see FAQ: Why can't we ask about the status of our site suggestions anymore?.
