Try using our search for flash stock :).

We don't create categories on external request, we create them when we think there are enough websites to justify them. You'll help make your case if you also suggest the other 15 similar websites that you know about to the same category :).

I'd like to point out to mr. powertrip above from DMOZ's own help files

How do I suggest a new category?
We welcome all suggestions for new categories! You can send your request to the editor of the parent category where you'd like the new category created, or you can send your suggestion to ODP Staff. Due to the volume of requests and feedback, staff may not be able to inform you of our decision.

But since the contact link is broken, and I can't figure out a way to contact a specific cateogry editor, I have no idea how to suggest a new category from as a non-editor.

I've been trying to suggest a cateogry under stock photos for free stock photos since the existing category descriptions specifically say "not for listing free sites". So I applied as an editor but was denied because that category is too large. So oh well.

If a category description says "not for listing free sites" it also means that there will be no subcategories that will accept "free sites".

I guess you are talking about Business/Arts_and_Entertainment/Photography/Stock/Royalty_Free/
The text is "Note: Royalty-free is not the same as free. This category does NOT list sites offering free photos, just professional-level sites offering 500 quality downloadable images (not prints) or more to creative professionals."
Collections of free photo's can be listed in http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Graphics/Clip_Art/Pictures/ But only if they have original / unique content

Thanks for the response pvgpool, I was unaware of that particular category.

But just for some non-editor constructive criticism, I think that the free site restriction from the royalty-free category is not well founded. Royalty-free is a license rights issue, not an acquisition/cost issue. Public domain, GNU, Creative Commons & custom licensed pictures are all technically royalty-free, and to exclude sites with these type of images from their best defining category doesn't make much sense to me. There are several sites listed in the http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Graphics/Clip_Art/Pictures/ category which deal more with stock photos than clip art graphics. Just my 2 cents :)
