Correction required to site submission

I've discovered an error in the description of a site that I've submitted for consideration. Can the correction be communicated to the editor reviewing the submission beforehand, or should I wait to see if the site gets listed and then submit a correction?

Apologies if it's a silly question.

Just wait. The reviewing editor (it is totaly unknown at this moment who that editor will be) will rewrite the description if necessary. And most of the times it is necessary as suggested descriptions often are not compatible with our guidelines.
