country specific subdomians?

Hi,
I responded earlier to a post about this, but thought I might start a new one.

I have a site (not real obviously) 'www.widgetcomputersupplies.com' which services the U.S.

I am creating 'www.canada.widgetcomputersupplies.com'

It is a similar looking site, but is in Canadian prices, taxes, etc. Designed and obviously for the Canadian market, not U.S. It is literally a completely different site.

Can I expect to get listed in this situation? And if so, would I expect to be in the same category as the original domain, or would it be a country specific category, or ?

Thanks so much...

Breaking information into multiple pages, folders, subdomains, or domains, is all treated as various forms of deeplinking.

To us, it makes no difference whether you use:

widgets.com/usa.html or widgets.com/usa/ or usa.widgets.com/ or usawidgets.com/

for the US information and then:

widgets.com/canada.html or widgets.com/canada/ or canada.widgets.com/ or canadianwidgets.com/

for the Canadian information, as all of the entities added together count as one site. Submit one URL from the site to the one best category.

Breaking a site into little pieces in order to get more listings is generally not the way forward.
