Date listed after my site?

I don't know if this is the right topic or if i should use my "status check" posts to ask this, but... here i am.. greatfully added to the ODP i have noticed on this link...

I am the last listing orthobionics... that behind my listing is a future date? can someone tell me what that means?

It means a new editor made a mistake (which has been corrected). Some new editors add media dates on the day they add the site.

Dates are supposed to be only added on dated content such as news articles which were published on a certain date. So a future date would not make any sense.

and the date is for next weekend.. may 28th 2005.. thats why i am asking.. it don't make sense...lol

Thanks - the error was fixed in the last few minutes - but allow a few days for the revision to show up. I've no idea why they put in a date in the future.

Note also that sites with dates always show below the other sites and appears in reverse date order.

Dates are also used on conferences. So a conference which is in the future will have a future date.

... or concerts. Or other events that are best sorted by date. But regardless of this, "normal" sites that are not connected to a special date should of course not carry a date tag.
