Hello,

I tried to submit a website that relates well and is non-commercial to:

- http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Relationships/Dating/Personals/Transgendered/

3 months already passed and no response, I doubt the request was even reviewed, as categories was "last edited" February 19, 2011 and July 8, 2006. That pretty much sums it up.

I really doubt there were no qualified requests since then, possibly the origonal editors just don't do it anymore?

What do you recommend?

You will know if your suggestion was received. When you suggest a website a confirmation is shown on screen. There will be no more messages.
Time between suggestion and review of the website can vary between a few days and several years.

Editors will only work in categories they are interested in. If none of the current editors is interested in the subject of a category that category will have to wait until one of the existing editors or a new one gets interested.

I recommend applying to be editor of category that interests you. It's an interesting hobby, requiring only a bit of time, patience and an Internet connection. :)
Note: If the Crossdressing category is where you want to apply, it is too large for a new editor, choose a subcategory instead.

It's what we are trying to do. Dmoz is powered by volunteers, who work more or less as they like, building a useful directory of websites, following community created, publicly available guidelines...
As a member of the public, the most one can do is suggest a site for inclusion or point out an error for an editor to see to, which is why I suggested becoming part of the solution, so to speak... :)
