Dead links

Searching through the directory i find some dead links ,

example - http://www.tercon.net

Listed under :
http://dmoz.org/Business/Constructi...tors/Mechanical/Heating_and_Air_Conditioning/

However tercon.not does not appear in the alphabetic listing in that catagory.

Updating the listing = error The site http://www.tercon.net is not listed in this category.

Search can be a week or so out of date.

I'm not quite sure of your motivations for asking. There is no website at that address, so why do you care if it got removed or not? COuld you help us understand your question a little better, please?

I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Search, we know, is always a few days (sometimes a few weeks) out of date. Eventually search will be updated to whatever is in the category. Editors have no direct control over search; we just make sure the listings in the category are correct.

And in this case, the site isn't listed in the category (as indeed it shouldn't be, since it doesn't work.) So if it had been listed before anywhere, it wouldn't be now, after an editor has looked at it.

So, what is the problem?

Im aware the domian should not be listed ,however i was not aware that the domain had been removed as a search on tercon returned a search result.

Im now aware search takes some time to update, and the domain has been removed from the catagory.
