More dead links for you :)

Hi there,

I have found a few non working links and thought I would pass them on to you guys (and gals)

The links listed below have been tested and are no longer working.

http://www.demarsfashions.com/
http://www.erofashiononline.com/
http://www.fantasygirlfashions.com/
http://www.foofoowear.com/
http://www.gabbyscloset.com/main/home - Won't load unless you enable popups.
http://joiaexotic.com/
http://www.lautrefemme.com/
http://www.lavishwear.com/ - 'Under construction'

Lingerie Collections of Hollywood - Offering bustiers, teddies, costumes, dancewear and fantasy lingerie. Listed by type, with pictures 'This link goes to' = http://www.freemerchant.com/

http://www.magicfantasies.com/
http://4playnightwear.com/
http://www.spicewear.com/
http://www.trymelingerie.com/
http://www.wildroseboutique.com/

In case you were wondering, no I am not some pervert who trawls the web, I was trying to get a clients site listed and decided to check out the competition only to find a load of non working links.

Also, what happens when a site is listed a few times in the ODP? Is this allowed or should it be reported?

Thanks,

Regards

Gio,

PS' That's my :2cents: worth' (for now)

There are circumstances when multiple listings are permitted:

-- Companies are generally eligible for a listing by subject (Topical) and by location (Regional)
-- Sites in multiple languages are generally eligible for listings in the World categories that reflect those languages.
-- Site which, in the opinion of the editors, have outstanding unique content, may be deep linked at the discretion of the editors and staff.

In general, though, if you see a site that is listed more than once is the same area of the directiory, we welcome you calling it to our attention. We will check it out and take whatever action is appropriate (which may be taking no action at all).

Dead links - Sorry

It seems that not all of the links I reported are actually dead.

When I tried some of them a few days later, some of them actually worked.

Sorry guys.

Anyway, I know some of them were definately dead links and hope that it helped out whoever monitors that cat.

That's normal - I find dead links as an editor all the time - and I never delete them right away - I just "unreview" them and make a note of them, I test them again to be sure before I do a final absolute delete.
