Hi

I wonder if someone could help me pls - we have submitted our site to the ODP 2 years ago now initially for the category:

Society: Relationships: Dating: Speed Dating

as we are an international speed dating company operating a website now in 3 countries, so surely there can be no reason why we cant be accepted.

Since we have not been accepted in the directory, we submitted our site again into the same category as we were concerned maybe our initial application didn't get submitted etc or was maybe lost.

This second application was now over a year ago - our site <url removed>

is 2 years old today and still no acceptance to the ODP - we feel we have been VERY patient in the circumstances as this is seriously damaging our search engine rankings!

We have followed ALL guidelines and done nothing wrong - what is most worrying is that reading the ODP is says that we should have received email/s advising that we had been declined etc - but we NEVER have??

Can anyone pls advise what we should do as we seem to be being penalised for something and dont know why - we are the UK's market leader but we cant even get added into what is our natural category, whilst in this time plenty of other much smaller sites have been accepted into this category.

Does anyone have an email address we can use to bring this up to DMOZ to find out more - maybe our applications have never been received - so should we just risk submitting again?

Any help/comments very much appreciated pls.

many thanks
Dan

Rejected applicants for editorship receive e-mails. Rejected site suggestions do not; nor do accepted or any other status.

Dating-related categories tend to be heavily spammed and, in general, not particularly fun to edit as a result so the most likely reason why a site suggested there hasn't been reviewed is that no one has chosen to edit there.
