Deeplinking allowed for messageboard?

C

Calvero

I run a messageboard for classic comedy at:

www.comedyclassics.org

What I was wondering is that since I have a forum for indivudual comedians on the board, would it be within the guidelines to submit each of the forums individually? Like the Marx Brothers forum for "Arts: Celebrities: M: Marx Brothers", the Laurel & Hardy forum to "Arts: Performing Arts: Comedy: Comedians: Movie and Stage: Laurel and Hardy", etc.?

I feel I should be able to figure out the answer since I'm an editor for a couple sub-categories, but after reading the rules about deeplinking I'm still not sure.

Thanks for any feedback :).

You would need alot more content than is currently there.

I like to deeplink message boards when the content (messages) are substantial, current, and on topic.

Just a purely personal opinion here, but whenever I see deeplink submissions I immediately become suspicious, since that is something that lot of the spammers and abusers do. Plus, what a webmaster thinks is a worthwhile deeplink and what an editor knows is a worthwhile deeplink are often vastly different things.

If I find a site that is worth deeplinking, I undertake the deeplinks myself.
