We have been deleted from the dmoz directory, this has been happening once a year for five years. There are no editors available for my directory category. "Business > Consumer Goods and Services > Clothing > Wholesale and Distribution" We are still currently ranked # 1 using the search querry "women's wholesale clothing" on all major search engines, I fear that the forthcoming google dance will drastically effect our ranking. We have enjoyed 1st page if not #1 ranking for 4 years. We provide exception service that far surpasses any clothing wholesalers on the web. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I can find no evidence that it has ever been listed in our directory, though there have been quite a few submissions to various categories over the years. Perhaps you were thinking of some other directory.

As to search engine ranking, we aren't interested. Since you're already at the number one spot, you've managed to demonstrate that an ODP listing isn't essential - which is what we've said all along :) .

I see no evidence that a listing for your site has ever been published in the DMOZ Directory. So it couldn't have been deleted. Though plenty of evidence it has been submitted (suggested) more than once, to more than one category. Because of that it is possible every one of your suggestions to list your site has been deleted on the assumption another copy awaits in another category. It happens when people break our Guidelines to submit once to one category.

Your ranking is of no interest to us, your customer service reputation is of no interest to us, how search engines return your site on any query whatsoever is of no interest to us. What Google does is of no interest to us. Your marketing concerns are of no interest to us. Reason - we are not a commercial listing service and we do not provide assistance with webmaster's marketing activities.

I suggest you resubmit the site to the one best fit category and return here a month later to check we have received it. Bookmark the category page and quote the full URL of that page in clickable form when you do so.

We don't do spider crawls, we don't bump anything anywhere. You are thinking of something entirely different to DMOZ by the sounds of it. You do know we are not Google don't you?
