I've used a link popularity site (Submit Express) for the past 4-5 wks to see how many links I have in Google, Alta Vista, All The Web and Yahoo. My total was about 87,000 since I began checking. Yesterday morning, I submitted two new Squidoo URLs to DMOZ.
But I mistakenly entered the wrong description for the first URL.
I noticed the mistake as soon as I'd submitted it. Within minutes, I resubmitted the URL with the corrected description and then send a second site's URL with
it's correct description...which has already been submitted incorrectly with the first URL.As soon as I had submitted this hodgepodge of errors, I wondered if I would be penalized for "spamming." Have I been?? Is that why my Alta Vista, Yahoo and All The Web links are each one third the number they were yesterday? How can this error be corrected? I worked for a years to build my links up to 87,000. And now it all seem for naught.
