My submission goes back to March 2004, and is awaiting review.

My question regards the site description. Since there have been numerous modifications to the site content since then (it is a commerce site), the description may need to be updated.

I have no record (unfortunately lost) of the original description, however, what affect on the review will a possibly outdated description have on review?

Can it be accepted for inclusion and subsequently updated?

Is it even possible request or retrieve a description while it is still pending review???

I pm'd a moderator, have had no response to a like question, and don't since he has not been answered. I don't expect a response since his last visit is logged as back in August.

A response would be nice.

None most likely. Usually the editor rewrites the description anyway so it complies with out guidelines. So basically there is nothing you have to do if it is just the description which does no longer fit. If the category is wrong too, you might (once - suggesting all over thre place is considered spamming as you will surely understand) suggest your site to the now apropriate categorywith a new description.

I pm'd a moderator,
A forum moderator? Please don't do that. If you have a question, post it in the forum - that's what it's for. We won't anwer questions sent to us via PM.

An editor? Editors are not required to answer feedback from the public. They may answer, if they like to, but there is no "must". Doing so has been proven to be a likely start for a lengthy, useless discussion and in some cases has caused personal trouble for the editor involved.

No. It's only a suggestion anyway; the editor will have to modify it, to meet our guidelines and the current content of the site.
