Desperate to Update URL!

I have used the 'Update URL' feature on 2 occasions starting 5 weeks ago and still my URL is the same. I changed the URL of my site and have been using the old URL's index page as a sort of re direct as a temporary measure but I will lose the old URL within days, therefore leaving a dead link. There IS an editor for my category and I cannot understand what is taking so long; I now become DESPERATE! What can I do? Much thanks.

You're lucky -- we're just in the process of fixing broken links. Of course, we have tens of thousands of them, so it will take most of our work over the next two to four weeks to get them all. Since you put in a redirection, your site should be among those flagged for immediate attention.
