Server

They are running real slow. When I do get in the only function that works is the "search". I'll keep plugging away. And thanks informator.

this is interesting

if you go to google.com and select the "more" tab - it will give you a number of options such as photos, blogger, books, etc, BUT NO "directory"

this is not the case with other google sites such as .co.uk, co.in, ca, .com.au
and possibly others

perhaps other country based domains will see the same results as .com

so maybe google has "gobbled" up the ODP

Did you see the "Even more" link? That links to all of Google's sections, including the Directory.

These latest posts are a bit off-topic for this thread that related to the fact that dmoz.org was hard to reach for some time...

Google seem to constantly test different looks on their mainpage and with personalization (iGoogle) individuals can choose their desired links on that page. So Google may link or not to their copy of ODP in different ways, but that´s not really something that we editors can or should have influence on.

You were talking about all the links you see when you click "More". "Even More" is one of them.

They started updating it again on August 18th.

First time they updated it for 18 months.

The update still has not spread to all Google servers.
