You might want to look at some older thread, for example this one to save us the work of repeating the same answer over and over again. Thank you.

Yes I read that post before. But that doesn't answer my question. I know about the server updates and stuff, and I know because of that the public categories are later updated as normal. But the site from that guy is not listed too in the search, and mine is. And I heard only about sites that are FIRST listed in the categorie and later in the search.

If anybody like to help me, is my site added normal or not? Just want to know if all things are OK and nothing went wrong.

Thanks

Search is done from the same database as the downloads are. Darn hutcheson for not mentioning it ;)

yeah, i know windharp. so, when the search is done from the same database where the downloads are in, why can't I see my download and CAN I see my search?? Because when it's on the same database, why search is updated to the latest version and the downloads not? That was my question in my first post, second post and now the third post.

If someone like to explain to me, thank you.

Download == the RDF file that will (sometime) be loaded into directory.google.com and other licensees, and will at some other time be used to rebuild the dmoz.org search index.

Download != static publicly visible pages at dmoz.org, which are updated at different times and by different mechanism than RDF, although ultimately derived from the same database.

Since everybody picks up the RDF at their own convenience, everybody may well be using a different version of the RDF.

So: don't worry about inconsistencies. If we tell you it's in the database, then it will get into the RDF as soon as is technologically possible, and it will get into all those other places whenever all those other people (including ODP staff) want to put it there.
