Disappointed with no listing

I have read all the guidelines, submitted my website and waited months yet have had no listing. The category is the geographical area I live in (Daventry), but seems to have very few listings and the latest update is almost a year old too.

The category is dormant and offers no indication of improving in the near future. I have submitted my site no more than two or three times within the past 2 years.

I have even applied to be an editor to help this area add to the Dmoz directory, yet this has been seen as bad by whoever reviewed my application.

I have just resubmitted my site, but hold out little hope of it being within the directory.

What can I do to help?

Daventry is a suitable category for a beginner so feel free to apply to become an editor again. I suggest that you first study this good advice.

Incidentally, top level Daventry was last edited three weeks ago and its Business and Economy subcategory in August 2008 so I'm not sure why you think it's been over a year.
